Hey Jeff,

Random place for this question, but it seems like you usually get back to the comments posted on here. Any chance we'll be seeing Peche Mortel back on the shelves anytime soon? Its been absent for a while, and I have been craving one like mad!

Thanks!
Pat

Hey Pat!

A lot of the Dieu du Ciel! beers have been missing for a while. I've been talking with the brewery, the importer and the distributor and was recently told that things should be better in 2011. There is a DDC event happening soon at The Farmhouse Tap & Grill so there should be a whole big shipment of both kegged and packaged beer coming to Vermont. Don't know for sure what will be in that container, but I suspect Peche Mortel will be one of them for sure.

It's a bummer that since we are so close to the boarder that the importer seems to be shorting us. The beer has to go to NJ first, I believe, and is then divvied up to the wholesalers. The 3-tier system of alcohol sales can often be cumbersome and annoying. Thanks a lot Prohibition!

Anyway, to answer your question - hopefully soon.
Cheers,
Jeff

Wow! I've read a bit on beer distribution and this seems to echo most of what I've read. What a pain!

Thanks for reply, and thanks for your commitment to beer over in Vermont. I live in Plattsburgh, and since you've reviewed Richard's Bait and Tackle on BA, you know that good beer is kind of hard to come by in this town. Its always a treat to stop by Winooksi and see a real selection.

Cheers!
